Drunk auto driver Shaik Ismail booked while transporting school kids in Goshamahal

On June 25, 2026, the Hyderabad traffic police caught and booked a 35-year-old auto-rickshaw driver, Shaik Ismail, for driving under the influence of alcohol while transporting schoolchildren in Goshamahal, Hyderabad.

The incident occurred during a special drunken-driving check conducted by the traffic police in the Goshamahal area. Officers stopped the auto-rickshaw driven by Ismail and subjected him to a breathalyser test.

According to the police, Ismail's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level was recorded at 60 mg/100 ml during the test.

Following the detection, the traffic police handed Ismail over to the Goshamahal police. The Goshamahal police registered a criminal case against the driver. He was booked for endangering human life and the safety of others.
