Driver of Minister Konda Surekha's Former OSD Arrested in Tellapur

Police in Hyderabad arrested the driver of Endowments Minister Konda Surekha’s former Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Sumanth, on Sunday near Tellapur.

Officers took the driver into custody near Sumanth’s residence in the Tellapur locality following an ongoing investigation into allegations of assault and extortion.

Sumanth and five other individuals were booked after a real estate businessman lodged a police complaint. According to the complainant, he was attacked with iron rods by the accused, who also allegedly demanded an extortion sum of Rs 10 crore from him.

Authorities registered a case against Sumanth, Prashanth, Ramu, Karthik Arun Kumar Reddy, and Mahender Reddy under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
