Dr Reddy's Arm Aurigene Inks Global Drug Manufacturing Deal for 20 Products

Hyderabad-based Aurigene Pharmaceutical Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a strategic long-term manufacturing and supply agreement with a global pharmaceutical company for commercial drug-product manufacturing across international markets.
The agreement covers a diversified portfolio intended for distribution in the United States, Europe, Canada, and emerging markets. Aurigene did not disclose the partner's identity, citing confidentiality obligations.
Under the deal, the agreement establishes a full-service framework encompassing technical transfer, process development, scale-up, validation, commercial manufacturing, and long-term supply. The collaboration is designed to bolster Aurigene's contract development and manufacturing capabilities, particularly for sterile injectables and biologics, while complementing its existing pharmaceutical development and manufacturing operations.
The initial portfolio comprises more than 20 products across sterile injectables, biologics, and topicals. All products under the agreement will be manufactured at Aurigene facilities located in India.
The companies have scheduled a phased technology-transfer programme that will take place over the next two to three years before commercial manufacturing and supply operations officially commence.
Once full commercialisation is reached, the portfolio is expected to produce approximately 18 million units annually, with the majority consisting of injectables.
