Dr K Anand Appointed In Charge DM and HO of Medchal Malkajgiri

The Telangana State government has relieved Medchal-Malkajgiri district Additional District Public Health Officer Dr. C. Uma Gowri of her duties on administrative grounds with immediate effect.
In a corresponding move, the government has appointed Dr. K. Anand as the in-charge District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) for the Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Dr. Anand currently serves as a civil surgeon and Resident Medical Officer at Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad. His new appointment is effective immediately and will remain in force until further orders are issued by the state.
Following the relief order, Dr. Uma Gowri has been instructed to report before the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare in Hyderabad.
According to Dr. Christina Z. Chongthu, the Principal Secretary to the Government, the Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, Telangana, has been directed to take all necessary further action in this matter immediately.
The transition marks a sudden shift in the leadership of the medical and health administration for the Medchal-Malkajgiri district. Dr. Anand, who has been managing clinical and administrative duties as a civil surgeon and Resident Medical Officer at Niloufer Hospital, will now oversee the district's healthcare operations as the in-charge DM&HO.
