Dil Raju in Talks to Acquire Ramayana Telugu Rights for ₹105 Crore

Film producer and distributor Dil Raju is in discussions to acquire the Telugu states theatrical distribution rights for the upcoming film Ramayana in a deal valued at ₹105 crore.

The proposed agreement is being negotiated on a returnable advance basis, a structure designed to minimize direct financial exposure for the distributor while securing major pan-Indian releases across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

The move follows Dil Raju's recent acquisition of the Telugu states theatrical rights for Yash starrer Toxic. For Toxic, Raju initially committed ₹108 crore on a returnable basis before the valuation was revised to ₹80 crore, with buyers eventually remitting approximately ₹75 crore.

Dil Raju previously expressed confidence in the strength of the Telugu theatrical market during a promotional event in Hyderabad, where he pointed to the city's box office reception for high-budget spectacles. Film trade circles are closely tracking the negotiations to see if the ₹105 crore Ramayana agreement will be finalized under the returnable structure.
