DGP CV Anand Congratulates Dr Rajeshwari Sainath on Sangeet Natak Akademi Award

Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) C V Anand congratulated Hyderabad-based Bharatanatyam artiste Dr. Rajeshwari Sainath on receiving the prestigious Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
During the meeting, DGP Anand lauded Dr. Rajeshwari's 55 years of contribution to the classical dance form. He commended her extensive record of national and international performances, as well as her work in training thousands of students through her dance academy. The DGP also highlighted her sustained efforts to spread awareness regarding social issues through Bharatanatyam.
Born and based in Hyderabad, the 65-year-old artiste has established herself as a renowned Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer, and teacher. Over her career, she has performed numerous solo recitals and dance productions across India and in several countries abroad.
Reflecting on her artistic career, Dr. Rajeshwari noted that she began dancing at the age of nine and has now spent more than 55 years in the field.
