DGP C.V. Anand Launches TG-VEER Portal in Warangal to Support Police Martyrs' Families

Telangana Director General of Police C.V. Anand launched the 'TG-VEER' special grievance portal at the Warangal Police Commissionerate on Sunday to ensure the speedy resolution of issues faced by the families of police martyrs. Meeting with the families of 28 police personnel who lost their lives fighting Naxalism, the DGP noted that the current peaceful atmosphere and law and order in the Warangal region were built on the sacrifices of these martyrs.

The newly launched TG-VEER portal allows families of fallen officers to register grievances related to ex-gratia, financial assistance, compassionate appointments, house-site allotments, land registration, title disputes, and pensions. During the event, Anand distributed identity cards embedded with QR codes to the family members, enabling them to log in to the portal directly and submit their complaints. Senior police officials from the unit level up to the state level will monitor the progress of these grievance redressals.

Family members present at the meeting submitted several long-pending issues concerning financial aid, land allotments, and pensions. The DGP assured the families that he would take up their grievances directly with the state government to secure early resolutions. He also instructed Warangal Police Commissioner N. Swetha to personally oversee and monitor the problems reported by the martyrs' families.

Recalling his early service in the Warangal region during the peak of Naxalism, Anand highlighted the severe conditions under which police personnel operated, including frequent attacks, surprise assaults, and encounters. He observed that while Naxalism has now disappeared from Telangana, rehabilitating surrendered personnel has emerged as a fresh challenge.

The DGP stated that the experience of police personnel who helped eliminate Naxalism will now be deployed to address emerging social threats, specifically cybercrime, drug abuse, and food adulteration. He urged youth to remain vigilant against narcotic drugs and called on educational institutions to take proactive measures to protect students.

Following the grievance meeting and a comprehensive crime review, Anand inspected the construction of the new Warangal Police Commissionerate building, which is nearing completion. Officials briefed him on the progress, and the DGP directed them to ensure the facility is designed to deliver improved services to the public.

The event was attended by senior officials, including IG (Intelligence) Karthikeya, Warangal Police Commissioner N. Swetha, SP Sindhu Sharma, Additional Collector Ravi, Additional SPs Vinod and Shyam Babu, as well as Cyber Crime, CCTNS, T-Eagle Force, and CID SPs Rupesh, Sai Sri, Giridhar, and Srinivas Reddy.
