Debris Clearance Continues in Gachibowli Following Seven-Storey Building Collapse

Debris clearance operations continued in Anjaiah Nagar, Gachibowli, following the collapse of a seven-storey under-construction building on Saturday. Local authorities have stepped up precautionary measures in the surrounding area while work to clear the rubble remains underway.

Personnel and heavy machinery have been deployed at the collapse site to remove the debris. Access to the immediate area has been restricted, and officials have cordoned off the location to prevent residents and the general public from entering the danger zone.

A police official deployed at the scene stated that an adjoining building, reportedly an illegal structure, will be demolished as a precautionary measure to prevent any further mishaps.

As part of safety precautions, residents of Block B of an apartment located adjacent to the Jayadarshini building have been evacuated from their homes. Officials are closely monitoring other structures in the vicinity amid concerns over their stability following the incident.

Authorities indicated that the safety of neighboring buildings will be thoroughly assessed before movement restrictions are lifted and evacuated residents are permitted to return to their homes.
