D. Sridhar Babu Urges Industry Collaboration at Boeing Skilling Event

Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu emphasised the need for close coordination among the government, industry, research institutions, and educational centres to prepare youth for industry requirements, speaking at a certificate distribution programme on Wednesday.

The event was organised by Boeing, the Learning Links Foundation (LLF), and the Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD). During the programme, the Minister distributed certificates to youth, persons with disabilities, and veterans who completed the Boeing Skilling Programme.

Mr. Sridhar Babu noted that rapid advances in technology and Artificial Intelligence are continually changing industry requirements. He stated that the State government is actively working to equip youth with skills aligned with emerging technologies and called on stakeholders to collaborate in strengthening Telangana's skilling ecosystem.

The Minister said the government is preparing plans to expand skill development programmes across the State in partnership with industries and entrepreneurs. He urged businesses to participate in the government’s skilling, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives to create a future-ready workforce.

According to a release from the Minister's office, the Young India Skills University is currently providing training aligned with industry needs, while government ITIs are being upgraded into Advanced Technology Centres to deliver modern, industry-oriented training.
