Cygnet. One Launches AI Engine for GST and Input Tax Credit Processing

HYDERABAD — Cygnet. One has announced the launch of an AI-powered GST Classification and Input Tax Credit (ITC) Eligibility Engine, developed to validate and automate the processing of enterprise purchase invoices at scale.
The newly launched engine combines GST-aligned rule logic with artificial intelligence to evaluate invoice data, interpret transaction context, and determine ITC eligibility at the invoice level. It classifies each transaction under the corresponding GSTR-3B treatment while generating an explainable reasoning trail.
According to the company, the system automatically detects and flags transactions that involve reverse charges, imports, and blocked credits. This functionality is intended to decrease manual reviews and incorporate audit readiness directly into the workflow by design.
The operational workflow begins with the ingestion of raw invoice data into the central AI engine. Inside this processing hub, an artificial intelligence component conducts description and context analysis in tandem with a rule-engine module. The two systems exchange information iteratively to confirm that all invoice details are interpreted in compliance with GST regulations and individual organisational policies.
Following the processing stage, the system delivers three primary outputs aimed at supporting tax and audit operations. These include invoice-level ITC eligibility determinations, structured GSTR-3B data prepared for regulatory filing, and an audit-ready reasoning trail designed to provide tax and audit teams with a clear record of how classifications were established.
