Cyberabad Police hold security awareness meet for 300 guards and vendors in Medchal

On Saturday, the Cyberabad Police conducted an awareness programme for private security agencies, security guards, and CCTV vendors at the CMR Technical Campus in Kandlakoya, Medchal, located within the Quthbullapur zone. The event was organized to strengthen coordination between private security stakeholders and law enforcement, aiming to ensure strict compliance with security regulations.

The programme saw participation from around 300 people, including security guards, agency representatives, and CCTV vendors operating in the zone.

Addressing the gathering, Qutbullapur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) N. Koti Reddy stated that the registration of all private security agencies under the Private Security Agencies Regulation (PSAR) Act, 2005, is mandatory. He directed all agencies to strictly adhere to the provisions of the law.

DCP Reddy further explained the legal responsibilities of private security personnel by sharing real-life case studies. He highlighted the vital role that private security guards play in crime prevention and maintaining vigilance.

Police officials at the event instructed the security personnel to maintain detailed visitor registers at their respective stations. They were told to verify the identities of all visitors before allowing them entry into restricted premises. The police also emphasized the importance of immediately reporting any suspicious persons, unattended objects, or potential security threats to the local police or the control room.

Furthermore, the police directed CCTV vendors and security agencies to ensure that surveillance cameras installed at critical entry and exit points remain fully functional at all times. They were instructed to report any technical faults without delay and to maintain updated emergency contact numbers for prompt coordination with law enforcement.

According to the Cyberabad Police, establishing effective coordination between private security agencies, security guards, CCTV vendors, and the police department is essential for strengthening the overall security network and ensuring public safety across the Quthbullapur zone. The participants welcomed the awareness initiative and assured the police department of their continued cooperation.
