Cyberabad Police Clarify MP's Son Went Home After Madhapur Aston Martin Crash

Cyberabad police on Friday clarified that Lingamaneni Sanjush, son of Janasena Party MP Lingamaneni Ramesh, had gone home after transporting a woman injured in an Aston Martin crash in Madhapur to the hospital, after which an investigating officer brought him to the police station.

The clarification was issued by the police after video footage surfaced from the scene of the accident in Madhapur, showing the events that unfolded following the crash that took place on August 16. The videos depicted Sanjush and several bystanders rushing to assist the 26-year-old injured victim, identified as Bharati Mukhi, in the moments directly following the collision.

Addressing the timeline of the incident, Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M Ramesh outlined what occurred after the collision took place. “After the accident, the accused took her to Apollo Hospital in his car. He panicked later and went home. Our sub-inspector went to his home and brought him to the police station,” Commissioner M Ramesh said.

Video clips recorded by witnesses at the accident spot, which became public days following the crash, documented the frantic efforts to help the victim. In the footage, a woman believed to be Bharati’s colleague is seen crying beside the injured victim and pleading for help, while a bystander at the location is heard asking Sanjush to stop the vehicle.

As a crowd gathered around the injured woman, Sanjush was seen approaching the spot. Bystanders then helped lift Bharati Mukhi into the luxury Aston Martin, and she was rushed directly to Apollo Hospital located in Jubilee Hills for medical attention before the driver left for his home and was subsequently brought to the station by police.
