Cyberabad Officials Inspect Flood Prone Areas in Serilingampally and Kondapur

On June 3, 2026, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh and Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner G Srijana conducted a joint inspection of flood-prone locations across the Cyberabad civic body limits. The field visits, which covered key areas in Kondapur and Serilingampally, were carried out to review local conditions and implement preemptive measures to prevent water stagnation and avoid traffic disruptions during the upcoming monsoon season.

During the inspection, the officials visited several vulnerable locations, including the area near Care Hospital at Malcolm Lake near Biodiversity Junction in the IT corridor. This specific site is known to experience road flooding during heavy rains. The team reviewed the site conditions alongside engineering department officials and issued recommendations on the actions required.

In addition to the IT corridor, the joint team identified monsoon-related water stagnation points at Hyderabad Central University Road and Kondapur’s Harsha Toyota Showroom Junction. The officials instructed engineering teams to take immediate steps toward establishing permanent solutions for these problematic spots, according to an official press release.

Officials noted that water stagnation during the monsoon season contributes significantly to traffic jams and causes public inconvenience. To address this, the municipal authorities, police, and engineering departments are coordinating to identify vulnerable areas in advance. This collaborative effort aims to ensure the smooth movement of public transport and reduce disruptions when the rainy season begins.

Other officials who participated in the field visits included Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Narayana Amit, Kukatpally DCP Rituraj, and ADCP Hanumanth Rao.
