CSIR-IICT and Re Sustainability Sign MoU for Green Tech Solutions

The Hyderabad-based Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) and environmental solutions firm Re Sustainability Limited have signed a strategic Umbrella Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on advanced research, technology development, scale-up, and commercialisation of sustainable environmental solutions.
Announced in an IICT press release on Monday, the partnership aims to accelerate the development and deployment of technologies addressing environmental challenges while supporting India's transition toward a resource-efficient, low-carbon, and circular economy.
Under the agreement, IICT and Re Sustainability will jointly pursue research, technology development, pilot-scale validation, and commercialisation across multiple strategic areas. These include chemical and advanced recycling of plastic waste, resource recovery, and waste-to-value technologies.
Speaking on the collaboration, Dr D Srinivas Reddy, Director of IICT, said the partnership would enable the acceleration of development, validation, and commercialisation of innovative technologies in waste management and resource recovery, contributing to India's sustainability goals.
Masood Mallick, Managing Director and Group CEO of Re Sustainability, stated that the collaboration will create a platform to develop and commercialise transformative technologies to shape the future of waste management, resource recovery, and climate action.
