Content Creator Madhuri Kakoti Seeks Police Action Over Threats by FC Brawlers Coach

Digital content creator Madhuri Kakoti, known online as Dr. Medusa, has sought police action over alleged threats and inflammatory online posts attributed to Shashank Tripathi, the head coach of Hyderabad-based football club FC Brawlers.

The matter came to light after screenshots of the alleged remarks were circulated on social media by the content creator. According to Ms. Kakoti, the posts specifically referred to her and included a remark about finding a 15-year-old patriot to 'show Ms. Kakoti her place.' The comment also discussed legal protections available to minors, claiming that a person below 15 years of age could avoid imprisonment or prosecution even for serious acts of violence.

The screenshot was subsequently highlighted by social media influencer Amit Kilhor in a video. In his post, Mr. Kilhor alleged that the comments amounted to incitement and called for law enforcement intervention.

The Hyderabad City Police responded publicly to the matter on social media, seeking specific details to enable them to look into the allegations.

Ms. Kakoti stated that she approached the Hyderabad City Police and followed their instructions to submit a formal written complaint at a local police station in Lucknow. She confirmed that she is awaiting the registration of a zero FIR in connection with the complaint. She noted that she will follow legal procedures and believes she will receive justice, emphasizing that she has the right to live without fear.

The controversy has also prompted organisations previously connected with Mr. Tripathi to publicly distance themselves from him. Mahindra University, responding to the video posted by Amit Kilhor, clarified its position regarding the coach.

Mahindra University stated that it has had no active association with Mr. Tripathi for more than a year. The institution noted that it does not endorse anything inconsistent with its values and standards, confirming that Mr. Tripathi holds no role or involvement in any administrative or executive capacity within the university.
