Constable Found Dead in LB Nagar ACP Office, Family Alleges Murder by Senior Officials

A police constable was found dead inside the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) office in LB Nagar, Hyderabad, on Wednesday. The deceased officer was identified as Sai Kumar. Following the discovery of his body, the constable's family alleged that senior officials killed him and attempted to make his death appear like a suicide.
The LB Nagar Police confirmed the incident and announced that a case has been registered regarding the matter. An official from the LB Nagar Police stated that Sai Kumar was found dead inside the ACP office premises, adding that law enforcement authorities are currently investigating the case to ascertain the details.
Tensions escalated at the site following the incident as relatives of the deceased constable gathered and staged a protest at the LB Nagar ACP office. During the protest, family members allegedly vandalised property inside the office premises. The protesting relatives demanded a thorough probe by the Telangana government into his death.
Speaking about the death, Sai Kumar's mother made direct allegations against senior police personnel, stating that her son had been tortured by senior officials for the past week. She mentioned that Sai Kumar had informed his family about the harassment prior to his death.
The mother disputed claims of suicide, alleging that her son was killed and that the scene was set up to look like a hanging. She pointed out that there were blood drops on his body, questioning how blood would be present if he had committed suicide.
In her statement, the mother also raised concerns about the handling of his body, alleging that officials did not allow the family to see her son after his death and moved his body without informing them. Stating that her family members are farmers, she called for justice. Police said that further investigation into the case is currently underway.
