Congress to Allocate 70% Posts to Seniors and 20% to Newcomers, Says TPCC Chief

TPCC president and MLC B. Mahesh Kumar Goud announced on Sunday in Nizamabad that 70 per cent of posts in the Telangana Congress government would be allocated to long-standing party workers, while 20 per cent would be reserved for newcomers.

Speaking at a meeting of Congress workers from the erstwhile Nizamabad district, Goud said party workers who dedicated their efforts to the party would receive priority in upcoming appointments. He noted that representation across different sections would remain balanced while filling these positions.

According to Goud, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge for Telangana Meenakshi Natarajan decided on the 70 per cent allocation for long-standing workers, following a format implemented at the AICC level. Opportunities will specifically go to individuals who worked continuously for the party over the past five years, with priority extended to members of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress.

Goud added that Minister Seethakka had suggested granting approvals for market committees and assured party workers that their contributions would receive recognition. He stated that the party's current governing status was achieved through the hard work of its grassroots cadre.

During the meeting, Goud also noted that his 35-year dream of establishing an engineering college and an agriculture college had been achieved during his tenure as PCC president. He expressed confidence that the party would secure 100 seats and return to power in the upcoming elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

Government adviser P. Sudarshan Reddy, Rural MLA Dr Bhupati Reddy, District Congress Committee presidents Nagesh Reddy and Bobbili Ramakrishna, corporation chairpersons, and Farmers’ Commission members Gadugu Gangadhar, Sunil Kumar Reddy, and Vipul Goud attended the gathering alongside frontal organisation leaders.
