Congress MLA Naini Rajender Reddy Challenges G Kishan Reddy to Warangal Debate

On Tuesday, Congress MLA Naini Rajender Reddy officially challenged Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy to an open, public debate regarding the development and funding of Warangal. Speaking in Hyderabad, the Congress legislator declared his willingness to resign from his position if he is unable to prove his claims about securing development funds for the city.

The political challenge follows a series of statements made on Monday by the Union Coal Minister. During his address, G Kishan Reddy announced that the Warangal airport would become operational within a year. He also presented a detailed report card highlighting various projects and initiatives related to the development of the city.

In his presentation, the Union Minister had actively challenged the claims of opposition parties, specifically naming the Congress party and the BRS party. He dismissed their allegations that the Central government had neglected local development in Warangal.

In response, Naini Rajender Reddy released a video message on Tuesday to challenge the Union Minister's report card and demand a direct confrontation on the issue of funding.

"Tell us the date and time. We'll show the funds we brought for the overall development of Warangal. Can you also show yours?" the Congress MLA asked in the video.

To emphasize his point, the MLA offered a mutual resignation challenge depending on the outcome of the debate.

"If I can't bring more funds than in the past, I'll resign. If we prove the development we've done, will you resign?" Naini Rajender Reddy said.

He concluded his message by reiterating that the Congress party is prepared to debate at any venue or time chosen by the Union Minister. "You decide the date and time. We are ready to come," he said.
