Congress Loyalists to Get Over 70% Priority in Committee Posts, Says TPCC Chief

TPCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud announced on Monday that long-standing Congress workers will receive more than 70 percent priority in appointments to various government and local bodies across Telangana. Speaking at a party meeting in Hyderabad, he addressed party workers and outlined organisational priorities while expressing confidence that Medak would once again emerge as a Congress stronghold.

Mahesh Goud stated that senior leaders and dedicated grassroots cadres who worked hard for the party would be given preference for positions in market committees, societies, temples, and library committees. He noted that the leadership understands and will actively address the concerns of party workers.

Touching upon electoral lists, the TPCC chief said Congress had worked intensively during the SIR process to safeguard the voting rights of eligible poor individuals. Alleging that efforts were being made to disenfranchise people citing the '2002 condition', he appealed to voters who received notices to submit the necessary details promptly to protect their votes.

Taking aim at opposition parties, Mahesh Goud questioned Medak MP M Raghunandan Rao regarding the number of jobs created by the central government, alleging that the Union government was jeopardising existing employment rather than creating new opportunities. He added that the growing "Gen Z movement" reflects rising discontent among youth over employment deficits, adding that voters are rejecting politics based on religion and caste.

Expressing confidence in the party's future electoral prospects, Mahesh Goud stated that Congress would return to power under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy by winning 100 assembly seats. He reaffirmed the state government's commitment to sanctioning Indiramma houses to every eligible poor family and improving access to public healthcare.

Mahesh Goud also criticised BRS working president KT Rama Rao over social media propaganda, cautioning that excessive reliance on misleading narratives would prove counterproductive. While noting that the Congress permits internal freedom within the organisation, he issued a warning that indiscipline would not be tolerated and that action would be taken against those violating organisational norms.
