Congress and BJP Workers Clash in Nalgonda Following Attacks on Offices

Political tensions escalated in Nalgonda after a group of Congress workers allegedly attacked the residence of BJP district president Nagam Varsith Reddy and vandalised property, triggering clashes between workers of the two parties.

The attack on the BJP leader's residence followed an incident on Monday where BJP workers allegedly targeted the Congress party office of Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.

The series of confrontations began after Youth Congress members held a protest in Hyderabad, during which black paint was thrown at the rear gate of the BJP state office. In response to that incident, BJP members led by Varsith Reddy burnt an effigy of Minister Venkat Reddy at his old camp office in Srinagar Colony and tore down a flex banner of the minister installed at the entrance.

Following the retaliatory violence at the BJP district president's home, police deployed additional personnel at both Minister Venkat Reddy's camp office and the BJP district office to prevent further escalation.

Varsith Reddy and several BJP workers subsequently took shelter inside the party office. According to officials, police have not yet received formal complaints from either side regarding the incidents.
