CMC Mandates Weekly Complaint Responses And Fines Waste Dumpers

The Cyberbad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has announced a major push to resolve public grievances, mandating that civic officials provide a written response to every complaint within one week. Cyberbad Municipal Corporation Commissioner G Srijana declared that addressing public issues is now a top priority for the administration across the CMC limits in Hyderabad.

To ensure that complaints are handled efficiently, the commissioner revealed that a dedicated tracking system has been introduced. This system will closely monitor the grievance redressal process and ensure that officials take timely action on all complaints submitted by residents.

Alongside administrative reforms, Commissioner Srijana provided updates on the civic body's ongoing monsoon preparedness initiatives. The CMC has identified 54 locations across its limits that are prone to waterlogging. According to the commissioner, permanent solutions have already been successfully implemented at 38 of these waterlogging-prone sites, while active work is currently underway to resolve the issues at the remaining locations.

The commissioner also issued a stern warning to individuals and entities involved in the illegal dumping of construction and demolition (C&D) waste within the municipal limits. Violators who dump debris illegally will face severe penalties, with fines ranging between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 10 lakh.

Furthermore, Commissioner Srijana stated that any vehicles found involved in the illegal dumping of construction and demolition waste may be seized by the authorities. She emphasized that strict enforcement of these penalties will be carried out without any compromise in order to maintain the cleanliness of the city.
