CMC Launches Devotional Item Collection Drive Across 17 Cyberabad Temples

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has launched a divine collection drive across 17 designated temples in Cyberabad, setting up dedicated collection counters to collect used devotional items. CMC Commissioner G Srijana reviewed the arrangements during a visit to Chittaramma Temple in Kukatpally alongside the Zonal Commissioner of Kukatpally Zone and the Additional Commissioner (Sanitation).

Devotees visiting the temples participated in poojas and religious rituals before handing over their used devotional items at the designated collection points. The initiative is aimed at preventing devotees from leaving such materials in open public spaces or immersing them in local water bodies.

During the review at Chittaramma Temple, Commissioner Srijana participated in the pooja ceremonies and inspected the on-ground collection procedures and arrangements made by civic staff.

According to civic authorities, municipal teams are managing the collected items through a structured process of segregation, dismantling, and safe handling. The collected materials include idols, framed religious pictures, glass articles, and various other devotional objects.

Civic officials thanked devotees across Cyberabad for supporting the collection drive and assisting the administration in keeping the city's public areas and water bodies clean and safe.
