CMC Demolishes 17 Unauthorised Buildings Across Kukatpally and Other Zones

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) carried out an enforcement drive against unauthorised constructions on Tuesday, August 25, demolishing 17 under-construction buildings across Kukatpally, Serilingampally, and Quthbullapur zones.
The demolitions were executed under the directions of CMC Commissioner G. Srijana as part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal developments across the civic body's jurisdiction.
According to officials, the highest number of demolitions took place in Quthbullapur Zone, where eight structures were brought down. Seven buildings were demolished in Serilingampally Zone, while two unauthorised structures were removed in Kukatpally Zone.
Alongside the demolition operations, enforcement teams served 11 unauthorised construction notices to buildings flagged during on-site inspections.
The civic body also identified 54 unauthorised constructions across multiple channels, including the MyCURE platform, Prajavani petitions, and direct field inspections by enforcement officials.
The CMC stated that the identification and enforcement drive will continue on a daily basis to ensure illegal constructions are detected early and dealt with promptly.
Commissioner G. Srijana instructed Town Planning and enforcement teams to strengthen daily field-level monitoring, improve the early detection of unauthorised structures, and enforce timely action in compliance with relevant building regulations.
