CMC Commissioner Srijana Inspects Connectivity Across Lingampally-Borabanda Line

Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner G Srijana conducted a field visit to inspect possible connectivity options across the Lingampally–Borabanda MMTS railway line, targeting improved traffic flow in Kukatpally and neighbouring areas. The inspection was carried out alongside municipal officials to evaluate infrastructure requirements across multiple connecting corridors.

The primary focus of the visit was to increase traffic movement between commercial hubs such as HKC, the Financial District, and Kokapet, and key residential areas including Kukatpally, Nizampet, and Mayuri Nagar. Officials highlighted the pressing need for additional connectivity across the railway line to support vehicular movement between these sectors.

During the ground inspection, several major structural interventions were reviewed, including proposed new elevated corridors-cum-RoBs heading toward the Miyapur Metro Station and Mayuri Nagar. In addition, the commissioner and officials assessed connectivity from Shilpa Layout toward the JNTU Metro Station and Nizampet X Roads, which features an underpass option among the examined plans.

The field assessment also focused on vital bridge expansions, specifically the proposed widening of the Kukatpally and Hafeezpet RoBs from four lanes to six lanes. Furthermore, officials surveyed potential road connectivity extending from Khaithalapur RoB to the Kukatpally Highway through the GOCL Road.

Another key stretch inspected was the road from the NIA Junction near Yashoda Hospital towards Kondapur, running through the Hitex–Mundikunta stretch, which is under review for road widening. According to officials, the various options were evaluated on-site to understand existing road conditions, available space, and practical connectivity requirements, with further action set to follow after the feasibility of the proposed options is examined.
