CMC Clears 506 Footpath Encroachments Across Kukatpally and Neighboring Zones

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) conducted a massive anti-encroachment drive on Saturday, 27 June 2026, targeting unauthorized stalls and structures on public footpaths across Kukatpally and other zones. The civic initiative aimed to restore public footpaths, improve pedestrian safety, and ensure obstruction-free movement for residents.
In the Kukatpally zone, the enforcement teams focused their efforts on major thoroughfares including HUDA Techno Enclave Road, Mithra Hills Road, and KPHB Road No. 1.
According to a press release issued by the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation, the extensive drive successfully cleared a total of 506 encroachments across 15 different road stretches. In total, the civic body restored 30.29 kilometers of public footpaths that had been blocked by various unauthorized structures.
The drive specifically targeted temporary setups that blocked pedestrian paths. This included unauthorized food stalls, street vendors, temporary structures, and various other physical obstructions that occupied the public right-of-way.
In addition to the operations in Kukatpally, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation carried out similar clearance activities in the Serilingampally and Quthbullapur zones to ensure wider coverage.
In the Serilingampally zone, the anti-encroachment drive covered several busy stretches. These included the road from Gandipet X Road to Sai Baba Temple, Patancheru, and the stretch from BHEL Circle to Ramachandrapuram. The teams also cleared footpaths near Nagulamma Temple, Manjeera Pipeline Road, and Telecom Nagar Road.
Meanwhile, in the Quthbullapur zone, the civic body cleared obstructions along Narsapur Road, Suchitra Road, and the stretch from Om Janda Circle to Rajiv Gruha Kalpa. Other areas covered in this zone included Devender Nagar Road, Nizampet Road, Mallampet Road, and Medchal Circle on Medchal Railway Station Road.
The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation's coordinated effort across these three major zones represents a significant step in reclaiming pedestrian spaces and resolving ongoing civic issues related to footpath blockages.
