CMC Clears 345 Encroachments Across Kukatpally and Other Zones

The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) carried out an encroachment removal drive across Kukatpally, Serilingampally, and Quthbullapur zones, clearing footpaths and reclaiming public spaces for pedestrians and motorists.

According to a press release issued on Friday, municipal teams removed a total of 345 encroachments along identified stretches across the three zones. The civic drive successfully restored 12.45 kilometres of roads, footpaths, and public spaces.

In the Kukatpally zone, civic teams removed 68 encroachments and restored 3.35 kilometres of public space. The operation aimed to clear pedestrian pathways and ensure unhindered movement along key stretches in the area.

Across the other participating zones, the highest number of removals took place in the Quthbullapur zone, where officials removed 161 encroachments along 4.6 kilometres of public stretches. In the Serilingampally zone, municipal authorities cleared 116 encroachments covering 4.5 kilometres of footpaths.

Civic authorities stated that the encroachment removal drive focused on restoring obstructed pedestrian walkways and public spaces to their intended use.

The CMC announced that teams will continue monitoring the cleared stretches across Kukatpally, Serilingampally, and Quthbullapur to prevent re-encroachment and ensure that the reclaimed roads, footpaths, and public spaces remain accessible for public use.
