CM Revanth Reddy Watches Argentina's 3-2 FIFA World Cup Win With Hyderabad Students

On July 7th, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy watched the FIFA World Cup 2026 football match between Argentina and Egypt alongside students from welfare schools at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad. The match was screened on a specially installed LED screen at the Hyderabad venue, allowing the students to experience the global sporting event alongside the Chief Minister.

The screening event at Shilpakala Vedika was filled with cheers, enthusiasm, and excitement from the students, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere throughout the match. During the screening, the students also shared their excitement and spoke about their cherished memories of football star Lionel Messi’s visit to Hyderabad last December.

The match concluded with Argentina securing a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 quarter-finals. Argentina managed to stage a sensational 3-2 comeback win against Egypt in the Round of 16 to secure their progression in the tournament.

Reflecting on the screening, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his joy at sharing the experience with the children. The Chief Minister stated that it was a wonderful experience to witness a contest featuring one of football's greatest icons, Lionel Messi, alongside the young football enthusiasts.
