CM Revanth Reddy to Launch Rs 16,007 Crore Rural Road Works in Mulugu and Parkal

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to tour Mulugu district and Parkal on Sunday to launch a series of major infrastructure projects and welfare initiatives, including a statewide rural roads programme estimated to cost Rs 16,007 crore.

The Chief Minister's visit will begin at Medaram, where he will offer prayers to Sammakka and Saralamma and perform special rituals. During his stop in Medaram, he will also distribute newly sanctioned pensions to single women.

From Medaram, Revanth Reddy will travel to the Mulugu district headquarters to unveil a pylon marking the official launch of the state's rural roads development programme. Under the Rs 16,007 crore initiative, the state government plans to upgrade 2,145 roads covering a total distance of 7,448 kilometres across Telangana. The project aims to improve connectivity between villages and mandal headquarters, mandal centres and district headquarters, as well as district centres and major State highways, with an emphasis on boosting education, healthcare, agriculture, and employment in tribal and agency areas.

The tour will then proceed to Parkal, where the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth more than Rs 400 crore. These projects include bringing a new 100-bed Parkal hospital into service and sanctioning nearly 6,000 houses under the Indiramma Indlu housing scheme for underprivileged families.

Following the project launches, Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting at the Angadi grounds in Parkal. Local officials have made extensive arrangements for the gathering, with an estimated 75,000 to 80,000 people expected to attend the event.
