CM Revanth Reddy Orders Top Facilities for Hyderabad Khelo India Games

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed senior state officials to ensure that the best possible facilities are put in place for the Khelo India Games, which are scheduled to be hosted in Hyderabad this December.

The Chief Minister issued these directives during a detailed review meeting held in Hyderabad on Tuesday to assess the ongoing preparations for the national multi-sport event. The Khelo India Games in the city will feature competitions across 20 different disciplines.

During the review session, senior officials briefed Chief Minister Reddy on the administrative and logistical progress made so far. Those present at the briefing included Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the State Government, and Soni Bala Devi, SATGVC and Managing Director. Telangana Sports Minister V. Srihari and SATG Chairman Shivasena Reddy were also in attendance for the meeting.

Addressing the officials, Reddy appealed to them to conduct thorough inspections of all existing stadia across Hyderabad where the various Games disciplines will take place. He emphasized the need to identify any issues and take immediate remedial measures so that all sports venues maintain international standards throughout the event.

In addition to venue upgrades, the Chief Minister suggested a decentralized approach to managing key operational subjects involved in conducting the event. He called for broader participation and urged officials to involve prominent sports stakeholders directly in the organizational process.

Specifically, Reddy highlighted that Arjuna Awardees, members of the Telangana Sports Hub Board, and representatives from the Telangana Olympic Association should all be actively involved in the planning and execution of the Khelo India Games in Hyderabad.
