CM Revanth Reddy Directs Hyderabad Officials to Stay Alert Amid Heavy Rains

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed senior department officials and government agencies across the Core Urban Region of Hyderabad to remain highly vigilant and alert as heavy rains lashed the city. The Chief Minister instructed various departments to ensure that essential services continue without interruption and that civic life remains normal.
Reddy directed several key departments to be fully prepared and alert. These include the police, traffic police, Municipal Administration, HYDRAA, electricity distribution agencies, and the Water Board.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of proactive measures to mitigate the impact of the downpour. He instructed that all waterlogged areas in Hyderabad must be identified in advance. Following identification, response teams must be deployed to these specific locations promptly to ensure that citizens are not affected by the water accumulation.
To closely monitor the weather situation in real time, the Chief Minister called for an urgent war-room review meeting. The meeting will be held with senior officials, including the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police (DGP), and the Special Chief Secretary of the Core Urban Region (CURE).
The administrative orders were issued as heavy rains continued to lash Hyderabad, prompting the state government to mobilize its emergency response machinery to prevent disruptions to essential services.
