CM Revanth Reddy Congratulates Praggnanandhaa on Grand Chess Tour Victory

HYDERABAD — Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated Indian Chess Grandmaster Ramesh Babu Praggnanandhaa for clinching the Grand Chess Tour title in St. Louis, USA.

The Chief Minister applauded Praggnanandhaa for making history with the title victory and showcasing India's expertise on the international sporting stage.

Praggnanandhaa was declared the Champion of the Grand Chess Tour 2026, becoming the first Indian player to achieve the feat. He secured the championship by defeating Fabiano Caruana with a score of 15-13 in the Grand Chess Tour Finals held in the United States.

Terming the achievement a proud moment for every citizen, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that Praggnanandhaa's success serves as an inspiration to athletes and youth who aspire to become ace sportspersons.
