HYDERABAD — Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has expressed deep grief and condolences over the demise of former Bhongir MLA Kommidi Narasimha Reddy. In a statement issued in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the veteran leader, recalling his lifelong dedication to public service and his significant contributions to the state's political and social landscape.

Kommidi Narasimha Reddy was a respected political figure who served the people of his constituency for multiple terms. He was elected as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Bhongir Assembly Constituency twice, winning the elections held in 1978 and again in 1983.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy highlighted Narasimha Reddy's active participation in the historic first phase of the Telangana movement in 1969. The Chief Minister remarked that the late leader lived a life of complete integrity and honesty until his last breath, making him a true role model for the present generation of leaders.

Throughout his career, Narasimha Reddy was known for standing firmly by the people. He spearheaded key public movements in the region, particularly advocating for water rights and environmental conservation. Among his major initiatives were the movements to secure Godavari waters for local needs and his persistent efforts to protect the Musi river.

In addition to his political leadership, Narasimha Reddy was remembered as a great humanitarian. He made a significant personal sacrifice by donating 300 acres of his own land to the Bhoodan movement, which aimed to redistribute land to the landless.

The Chief Minister prayed to God to grant peace to the departed soul of the former MLA and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members during this difficult time.
