CM Revanth Reddy Challenges KCR to Assembly Debate on Welfare in September

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday dared BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao to attend the upcoming Assembly session in September for an open debate on public welfare contributions. Addressing public meetings at Mulugu and Parkal after participating in local development initiatives, Revanth Reddy said the state would decide between the governance records of the Congress and the previous BRS regime.

Responding to claims made by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and former minister T. Harish Rao regarding development during their tenure, the Chief Minister challenged the duo to bring Chandrashekar Rao to the legislature. He argued that while the BRS prioritized the political and financial interests of its top leadership's family, the Congress administration remained focused on social justice and public welfare.

Revanth Reddy contrasted political and cabinet appointments under both regimes to highlight what he termed a difference in ideology. He pointed out that while Chandrashekar Rao inducted his son Rama Rao and nephew Harish Rao into the Cabinet, the Congress appointed two women, Danasari 'Seethakka' Anasuya and Konda Surekha, as ministers. He also noted that Congress appointed Adluri Lakshman to the ministry, made Mahesh Kumar Goud the PCC president, and supported Prof. Kodandaram with an MLC seat for his role in the Telangana statehood movement.

Highlighting the state government's welfare track record, the Chief Minister stated that the Congress administration has waived farm loans amounting to Rs 21,000 crore. Additionally, the government has extended Rs 36,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa assistance scheme and spent Rs 30,000 crore to supply free electricity to the agricultural sector, along with offering bonuses for growing fine varieties of paddy.

Addressing local youth, Revanth Reddy advised job aspirants not to be misled by opposition rhetoric and urged them to concentrate on competitive examinations. He reiterated that youth employment, industrial development, and skills training remain top priorities for the state government, promising that further recruitment notifications will be released soon.
