Class X Student Assaulted at Sri Chaitanya Hostel in Dammaigudem

A Class X student was allegedly assaulted by a group of classmates at a school hostel in Dammaigudem, Medchal-Malkajgiri district, prompting his parents to lodge a police complaint against those involved and question the school management.

The victim, identified as Abhishek, was reportedly beaten by 10 to 12 fellow students using sticks, plates, and shoes at the hostel attached to Sri Chaitanya High School in Dammaigudem.

Following the incident, the school authorities allegedly informed Abhishek’s parents that he had fallen down the stairs. However, the student later disclosed to his parents that he had been assaulted by his classmates in the name of ragging.

Abhishek is currently undergoing medical treatment at a hospital for his injuries.

After learning about the alleged assault from their son, Abhishek's parents lodged a formal complaint with the police seeking strict action against the students responsible. The parents also raised serious questions regarding the school management, accusing them of attempting to conceal the incident.
