Cheryala Tahsildar Korra Dileep Naik Arrested by ACB for Accepting Rs 70,000 Bribe

The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Korra Dileep Naik, the Tahsildar of Cheryala mandal, at his office in Siddipet District for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 70,000. Naik was caught red-handed by ACB sleuths while accepting the money from a complainant in exchange for an official favour.

According to official reports, the bribe was demanded to process 11 Non-Agricultural Land Assessment (NALA) conversion applications. Out of these 11 applications, eight had already been processed by the Tahsildar.

The land applications in question concern survey numbers 833/B, 833/C, 833/D, 833/E, 834/8, 834/C, 834/D, and 834/E. The total land area measures 30 guntas and is located at Nagapuri Village. The applications were filed in the names of Smt. Jamuna Kanakamma and others.

Following the complaint, the ACB laid a trap at the Cheryala mandal Tahsildar's office. The sleuths caught Naik in the act of receiving the cash. The entire tainted bribe amount of Rs. 70,000 was successfully recovered from his possession.

The ACB stated that Naik had performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain an undue advantage from the applicants. The agency has withheld the specific details and identity of the complainant to ensure their security.
