Charminar Prepares for Milad-un-Nabi Procession to Moghalpura as Police Deploy Bandobast

Preparations are underway across Hyderabad for Milad-un-Nabi celebrations on Wednesday, with the central procession set to commence from Charminar. The annual event, marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammed, will feature major religious programmes, community services, and large public gatherings.

The main procession, known as the Markazi Milad Juloos, will begin at the historic Charminar and make its way toward Moghalpura. Organisers have outlined the designated route passing through Gulzar Houz, Pathergatti, Nayapul, Darulshifa, Mandi Mir Alam, Etebar Chowk, and Kotla Alijah before concluding at Moghalpura.

Thousands of participants are expected to take part in the main procession. Smaller tributary rallies from various neighbourhoods across the city are scheduled to merge with the primary juloos as it moves along its historic path in the Old City.

In addition to the central procession, local rallies and programmes have been scheduled in several other localities, including Erragadda, Borabanda, Musheerabad, Rajendranagar, Chintalmet, Kalwakurthy, and Shadnagar.

Beyond the processions, multiple community welfare initiatives have been organised across the city to mark the occasion. Various organisations and local groups have planned blood donation drives and food distribution camps. Fruit distribution drives are arranged for patients admitted to local hospitals, while several healthcare facilities are set to organise free medical check-up camps for the general public.

Law enforcement authorities have put in place elaborate security arrangements to ensure the peaceful conduct of the celebrations. Police bandobast has been deployed along all designated routes and at identified sensitive locations throughout the city. The movement of the Markazi Milad Juloos will be closely tracked using aerial drone monitoring and the city wide surveillance camera network.

Religious scholars and community elders have issued appeals to the public, particularly youth, to observe discipline during the festivities. Community leaders stressed that celebrations should be conducted smoothly without causing inconvenience to residents and urged all participants to cooperate with the police to maintain peace and harmony.
