Chandrayangutta Police Detain Man for Alleged Sexual Assault of 12-Year-Old Daughter

The Chandrayangutta police have detained a man in Hyderabad for allegedly sexually assaulting his 12-year-old daughter over a period of time.

According to police officials, the action was initiated after the minor girl dialed the emergency helpline number 112 on Thursday night, reporting an attempted sexual assault by her father.

Acting immediately on information relayed by the police control room, a team reached the family's residence. The 12-year-old girl came out of the house and accompanied the personnel to the local police station to lodge a formal complaint.

Based on her statement, the Chandrayangutta police tracked down the accused and detained him at the Chandrayangutta crossroads.

The victim reportedly informed the police that her father had been sexually assaulting her over an extended duration. She further stated that the accused had been threatening and intimidating family members to keep the matter concealed.

The Chandrayangutta police have initiated a detailed investigation into the incident. Officers are currently in the process of recording statements from the minor's mother and examining other witnesses to gather further evidence in the case.
