Chandrayangutta Police Arrest Man for Sexually Assaulting Minor Daughter

The Chandrayangutta police in Hyderabad have taken a man into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting his 12-year-old daughter, officials said on Friday.

According to the police, the minor victim called the emergency helpline number 100 on Thursday night when her father allegedly attempted to assault her. Acting on the alert transmitted by the police control room, a police team promptly reached the girl's residence and spoke with her directly about the situation.

Following the interaction, law enforcement officers tracked down the accused and took him into custody near the Chandrayangutta crossroads. A case has been registered against the man.

During questioning, the girl reportedly informed the police that her father had been sexually assaulting her over a period of several years. She stated that he had repeatedly threatened her against disclosing the matter to anyone else in the family.

Investigators are currently gathering further information and recording statements from the victim's mother as part of the ongoing inquiry.
