CCRT Organises 750-Student Tiranga Rally in Hitec City
The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Hyderabad, conducted a one-kilometre Tiranga rally on the streets of Hitec City on Wednesday as part of its ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga programme. Around 750 schoolchildren, escorted by their teachers, marched alongside CCRT officials and staff to promote patriotism, cultural awareness, national integration, and public participation among the youth.
The gathering featured students drawn from seven schools in Hyderabad. In addition to local students and staff, 78 CCRT-trained teachers representing 13 states across India attended the event at the CCRT Regional Centre and participated in the day's scheduled activities.
The day's events commenced at the CCRT Regional Centre campus, where the participating children assembled at the Open-Air Amphitheatre. At the venue, the students sang the full version of Vande Mataram together. To facilitate the singing, bilingual printouts featuring the text of Vande Mataram in both Telugu and English were provided to the students and participants.
Following the gathering at the amphitheatre, the one-kilometre Tiranga rally moved through the streets of Hitec City. The participating schoolchildren carried the Tricolour and raised slogans as they processed along the designated rally route. The street march was led directly by CCRT consultant Y. Chandrasekhar and field officer Soundarya Kaushik, who accompanied the children and officials throughout the route.
Once the rally completed its loop through Hitec City and returned to the CCRT campus, the students attended a live Tiranga Concert. The music performance was delivered by Dr Linga Srinivas and his troupe of folk artists. Their performance featured a rendition of Telangana folk music alongside patriotic songs structured around themes of Independence, cultural heritage, and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
The entire programme wrapped up on the CCRT campus with the singing of the National Anthem. According to representatives from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, the event was organised as part of the institution's larger effort to nurture patriotism, heighten cultural awareness, advance national integration, and encourage public participation among young people.
