BRS to Protest in Pashamylaram on June 30 Over Sigachi Blast Compensation

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) will hold a massive protest on June 30 in the Pashamylaram industrial area of Sangareddy to demand immediate compensation for the victims of the Sigachi blast. Led by former Minister T Harish Rao, the demonstration aims to pressure the government and the Sigachi management to release the promised financial aid and take legal action against those responsible for the industrial accident.
The upcoming protest is part of an ongoing campaign by the BRS, which has accused both the government and the Sigachi management of failing to deliver justice to the affected families. The party has consistently raised the issue of management failures since the incident occurred.
Immediately after the incident, former Minister T Harish Rao visited the blast site just hours after the explosion to stand by the victims. During his visit, Rao demanded that the government and the company's management declare compensation and provide all necessary support to the injured.
To keep the pressure on the authorities, BRS leaders V Adharsh Reddy and G Srikanth Goud led a candlelight rally on July 30, marking one month after the blast. Over the past year, Reddy, Goud, and other BRS leaders have remained in constant contact with the victims' kin, guiding them through various government offices to seek assistance.
In July, 2025, Harish Rao accompanied the victims' families to the Sangareddy collectorate to formally demand the immediate release of the promised compensation and push for action against the industry.
Rao has also issued multiple statements throughout the year urging the government to fast-track the compensation process. Additionally, BRS legislators have raised the issue inside the State Assembly multiple times to highlight the failures of both the Sigachi management and the state government.
The protest scheduled for June 30 in the Pashamylaram industrial area is intended to further expose these failures and secure justice for the victims and their families.
