BRS to Launch Week-Long Statewide Protest Campaign Against Congress from September 2
Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao has announced a week-long statewide campaign starting September 2 to protest against the Congress government's alleged administrative failures and unfulfilled election promises across Telangana.
Speaking during a tele-conference with party leaders on Friday, Rama Rao outlined the schedule of demonstrations. Ahead of the field agitation, the BRS will release a chargesheet against the Congress administration at the party headquarters in Telangana Bhavan on September 1.
According to the itinerary announced by the party, each day of the campaign will be dedicated to addressing grievances faced by specific sections of society. The demonstrations will commence on September 2, focusing on the state government's alleged failure to implement its six guarantees. On this day, party cadres will distribute pending promise cards to highlight unfulfilled electoral commitments.
On September 3, the BRS will take up agrarian concerns, leading protests on issues related to farmers, including irrigation, power supply, availability of urea, and crop insurance coverage. The focus on September 4 will shift to women, persons with disabilities, and welfare promises made by the ruling party.
Rama Rao stated that youth and student concerns will take centre stage on September 5. Demonstrations on this day will specifically highlight pending fee reimbursement, the release of the job calendar, and employment opportunities in the state.
The party will address broader civic concerns on September 6, raising issues affecting both urban and rural areas across the state. On September 7, BRS leaders and workers are scheduled to submit formal petitions outlining public grievances at Prajavani centres.
The week-long agitation will conclude on September 8 with district-level press conferences organised across Telangana to highlight the party's campaign and summarise the public response received throughout the week.
