BRS leaders mourn passing of veteran Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham

In Hyderabad on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K Chandrashekhar Rao and other senior party leaders expressed profound grief over the passing of veteran politician, former Andhra Pradesh Minister, and prominent Kapu movement leader Mudragada Padmanabham. The BRS leadership described his demise as an irreparable and major loss to Telugu politics, social movements, and public life.
BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his deep sorrow, terming Padmanabham’s demise an irreparable loss to social movements. In his condolence message, Chandrashekhar Rao hailed the veteran leader as someone who remained steadfast in the ideology he believed in. He noted that Padmanabham waged an uncompromising struggle throughout his public life to secure the constitutional rights of the Kapu community and allied communities.
Chandrashekhar Rao also recalled Padmanabham’s distinguished service as a legislator and Minister, praising his significant contribution to public life and social justice. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and followers, praying for the departed soul.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao also expressed shock over Mudragada Padmanabham’s demise and prayed for the departed leader. Calling him a prominent leader who dedicated his political career to championing the rights of the Kapu community, KT Rama Rao said the passing was a major loss to the politics of both the Telugu States as well as social movements. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the family and followers.
BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao stated that Mudragada Padmanabham had left an indelible mark on public life through his relentless fight for the rights of the Kapu community. He said the veteran leader’s contribution as a legislator and Minister would be remembered for years to come, extending condolences to his family and followers.
Several other BRS leaders, including BRS Parliamentary Party leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra and former Minister S Niranjan Reddy, also condoled the demise of the Kapu leader.
