BRS Leaders Demand Removal of Malkajgiri Lands From Prohibited 22A List

Leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), joined by Uppal MLA Bandaru Lakshma Reddy, gathered at a public meeting in Malkajgiri to demand the immediate removal of constituency lands from the 22A prohibited list.
Speaking at the meeting, Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy stated that nearly 30,000 families in his constituency are facing severe hardships due to their lands being placed on the prohibited list. He demanded that the state government immediately delist these properties so that residents can buy, sell, and register their lands without restriction.
Marri Rajasekhar Reddy expressed serious concern over the difficulties encountered by poor and middle-class residents. He noted that many people have discovered that their hard-earned properties and lands were included in the 22A prohibited list, preventing them from carrying out property transactions.
Senior BRS leader T Harish Rao, who attended the meeting as the chief guest, strongly criticized the Congress government's handling of the issue. He questioned the overnight inclusion of residential colonies in the 22A prohibited list and asked where citizens are expected to go when faced with such actions. Harish Rao further demanded that Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy take moral responsibility for the 22A prohibited lands fiasco and submit his resignation.
The public meeting saw the participation of several elected representatives and party figures, including Uppal MLA Bandaru Lakshma Reddy, Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh, and MLC Dasoju Sravan. Former corporators and senior local BRS leaders were also in attendance alongside members of colony welfare associations, activists, women, youth, and residents affected by the 22A prohibited land listings.
