BRS Leader Manne Krishank Slams Cyber Security Bureau Notice to X Corp

On June 8, 2026, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) spokesperson Manne Krishank criticized a notice issued by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau to X Corp in Hyderabad, alleging that it threatened democratic values and freedom of expression. The notice requested the removal of a video posted from a personal account that allegedly featured Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Krishank stated that treating political commentary as a criminal matter goes against the spirit of democracy. He specifically questioned the bureau's reported request that X Corp should not inform the account holder about the takedown notice, arguing that such a direction violates the fundamental principles of transparency and natural justice.
The video in question reportedly depicted Chief Minister Reddy in a cartoon caricature wearing a Nazi-style uniform with references to Adolf Hitler. The authorities objected to the video, alleging that the content used provocative language.
However, Krishank defended the post by sharing the notice served to X on social media. He referred to the Congress-led administration as the "Hitler government" and pointed out that Chief Minister Reddy himself had previously made public remarks praising Hitler. According to Krishank, the Chief Minister had commented that he was inspired by the Nazi dictator and his assassin team.
Krishank ridiculed the police department's justification for withholding information from the user, which suggested the account holder might flee or hinder the ongoing investigation. He argued that it was contradictory to object to a caricature when the Chief Minister's own remarks were not treated as objectionable.
The BRS spokesperson alleged that there is a growing tendency under the current Congress government to suppress dissent. He called out the administration for using legal notices and social media restrictions to systematically target and intimidate political critics in the state.
