BRS Announces Statewide Campaign Against Congress Government From September 2

HYDERABAD — The Bharat Rashtra Samithi has announced a week-long Statewide campaign starting September 2 to mark 1,000 days of the Congress government in Telangana and highlight what it termed the administration's failures and unfulfilled commitments.
Party working president KT Rama Rao announced the initiative during a teleconference with senior leaders, elected representatives, and the State executive committee on Sunday. He instructed party cadre to take issues regarding pending public promises to every village across the state through structured programmes.
Rama Rao stated that the Congress came to power on the basis of 420 promises, 13 declarations, and six guarantees, which were pledged to be implemented within 100 days. He alleged that the government had failed to implement its major promises even after 1,000 days in office.
As part of the campaign, BRS cadre will distribute "Baaki Cards" (Debt Cards) to residents, outlining the financial benefits promised by the Congress that remain unpaid. Rama Rao said the outreach would detail pending benefits owed to various groups, including farmers, agricultural labourers, elderly citizens, women, students, and unemployed youth.
The party plans to conduct specific campaigns at colleges focusing on the alleged non-payment of more than Rs 12,000 crore in student fee reimbursement dues, which Rama Rao noted has impacted students and their families. The campaign will also address government commitments regarding employment creation.
In addition to youth and student outreach, the BRS will organise targeted programmes engaging auto drivers, women, farmers, tribals, Dalits, Backward Classes, government employees, and pensioners to highlight sector-specific grievances.
Rama Rao instructed party functionaries to present the gap between the ruling party's electoral assurances and ground reality, urging them to focus on the government's overall administrative performance over the 1,000-day period.
