HYDERABAD — Hyderabad-based non-governmental organisation Bring A Smile Foundation is organizing a multi-location collection drive on August 22 across seven areas, including Gachibowli, inviting citizens to donate reusable household goods for underprivileged communities.

The drive is scheduled to take place from 9 am to 3 pm at collection points set up in Gachibowli, Kukatpally, Narsingi, Kondapur, Nizampet, Moosapet, and Hafeezpet. The initiative aims to gather pre-owned items in usable condition and channel them to individuals and families in need.

Organizers have specified that the collection will accept a wide range of essential everyday materials. According to Archana Suresh, founder of Bring A Smile Foundation, the foundation will accept undamaged clothes, accessories, toys, books, utensils, footwear, school supplies, and other reusable household articles.

The project is being led by team leads Aashi Rupani and Aparna Ravikrishnan. The foundation noted that over its 14 years of operations, it has gathered and distributed 144 tonnes of items to underprivileged groups.

The organization's charitable initiatives span education, healthcare, and infrastructure assistance. Its volunteer base consists entirely of working professionals, entrepreneurs, homemakers, students, and senior citizens who contribute their time to social causes.
