Boy kidnapped from Secunderabad station rescued, cook Shaik Ahmed Ali Saheb arrested

The Government Railway Police (GRP) of Secunderabad, working in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has rescued a minor boy who was kidnapped from the Secunderabad Railway Station in Hyderabad. Following the rescue operation, the police arrested the accused kidnapper, identified as Shaik Ahmed Ali Saheb, a 42-year-old master cook residing in the Chintal neighbourhood.

The kidnapping occurred on June 20, when the minor boy was sleeping beside his mother on a platform at the Secunderabad Railway Station. According to the police, Saheb noticed the sleeping child and decided to abduct him. He then took the boy to his residence in Chintal. Saheb reportedly confessed that he committed the abduction because he desired a male child and intended to raise the boy as his own son.

During the time the boy was kept at the residence, Saheb’s family members and neighbours noticed the child's presence. They reportedly advised Saheb on multiple occasions to hand the minor boy over to the police. However, Saheb ignored their repeated warnings and continued to keep the child at his house.

The situation changed after local media outlets began broadcasting and publishing reports about the kidnapping at the railway station. Fearing the consequences, Saheb took the minor boy to the Jeedimetla Police Station. He initially tried to mislead the officers by falsely claiming that he had found the child abandoned on a road.

However, police officers grew suspicious and subjected Saheb to questioning. During the interrogation, Saheb confessed to kidnapping the child from the Secunderabad Railway Station platform. Following his confession, the police officially arrested Saheb and took him into custody. The rescued boy was safely handed back to his family by the police team.
