Borabanda Man Booked Under POCSO Act For Allegedly Harassing His 19 Year Old Daughter

The Borabanda Police have registered a case against a local resident for allegedly sexually harassing his 19-year-old daughter over a period of time at their residence in the Borabanda area of Hyderabad. The police action was initiated following a formal complaint lodged by the young woman's mother, leading to the registration of a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the details available from local law enforcement, the suspect had allegedly been behaving in an inappropriate manner with his daughter for some time. The victim has accused her father of touching her inappropriately and subjecting her to repeated incidents of sexual harassment inside their home.

In addition to the allegations of harassment, the victim also stated that the suspect threatened her with dire consequences. Specifically, the father allegedly threatened to kill his daughter if she spoke to anyone else or disclosed the ongoing abuse to any other family members or authorities.

The matter eventually came to light when the 19-year-old woman decided to inform her mother about the repeated harassment and the death threats she had received from her father. Upon being informed of the allegations, the mother confronted the suspect regarding his inappropriate behavior.

During this confrontation, the suspect allegedly refused to back down and instead threatened the mother with dire consequences as well.

Following the confrontation and the subsequent threats made against both her and her daughter, the mother approached the Borabanda Police Station to file an official complaint. The police registered the case under the POCSO Act and immediately took up the investigation.

The Borabanda Police are currently investigating the allegations of sexual harassment and intimidation. Authorities have stated that they are examining the details of the complaint and that further legal action will be taken against the accused man based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
