Blocked Footpaths Between Jubilee Hills Metro and KBR Park Endanger Hyderabad Walkers

Pedestrians and commuters walking between the Jubilee Hills Checkpost Metro Station and the entrance of KBR National Park in Hyderabad are facing severe safety hazards due to heavily obstructed footpaths. The one-kilometer stretch, which connects the busy metro station to the popular national park, has become nearly impassable for walkers, forcing them to navigate dangerous obstacles or step directly into active road traffic.
Upon stepping out of the Jubilee Hills Checkpost Metro Station, commuters setting off on the routine walk find that the footpath disappears beneath a succession of obstacles within minutes. The footpaths along this route are severely blocked by a variety of physical obstructions that make walking highly hazardous.
Pedestrians attempting to use the walkway are blocked by parked SUVs and must navigate broken pavement that requires extremely careful footing. In addition to these barriers, the route is crowded with utility poles, hanging cable wires, signboards, and scattered construction materials.
These severe obstructions have compromised the safety of commuters and violated their basic "right to walk." At several points along the short journey, the footpath disappears entirely under the accumulated clutter. This leaves pedestrians with a dangerous choice. They must either negotiate the hazardous obstacles on the walkway or step off the curb and walk alongside active road traffic.
The situation has turned what should be a routine, one-kilometer walk from the Metro station into an exercise in constant vigilance. With the footpaths blocked by vehicles, construction debris, and utility infrastructure, local commuters continue to face daily safety risks while trying to navigate the area on foot.
