BJP Will Make Bottu Mandatory For Hindu Students In Telangana Schools, Says Bandi Sanjay

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar announced on Thursday in Karimnagar that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will make the application of ‘bottu’ (vermilion mark) mandatory for Hindu students in schools if the party is voted to power in Telangana. The Union Minister made this announcement while speaking about the preservation and promotion of Hindu traditions and culture in educational institutions.
Expressing full confidence that the BJP will form the next government in Telangana, Kumar stated that concrete steps would be taken by the party to actively promote Hindu culture and traditional practices in schools. He emphasized that these measures would ensure that Hindu students can follow their cultural traditions freely within their educational environments.
In a formal statement issued from Karimnagar, the Union Minister also strongly condemned a reported incident that occurred at a private school in the Saidabad area. He termed it highly objectionable that the school management had asked Hindu students to read religious verses. Kumar questioned the silence of various organisations, asking why they had not reacted to the incident.
Describing the situation at the Saidabad private school as an attack on Hindu culture, Kumar called on the public and organisations to condemn the act. He warned that such practices, which he described as targeting Hindu culture, should not be allowed to spread any further in the state's educational system.
Kumar demanded that the government take strict action against the management of the private school in Saidabad. He also sought the immediate cancellation of the recognition of the school involved in the controversy.
Referring to a separate incident, the Union Minister also raised concerns regarding an autorickshaw driver who was allegedly targeted. Kumar questioned the action taken against the driver for displaying Hindu slogans on his vehicle. He demanded that action be taken against those responsible for the alleged harassment of the driver, including the political leaders and police personnel involved.
